6th and Final in Series

Viewing Robert Ryan’s celebrated documentary.

Series begins with a review of the rivalries and tensions between the major European powers from 1870 to 1914, which culminated with the assignation of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie in the city of Sarajevo.

The series then follows the course of the war, showing how more countries become involved.

We will pay special attention to the episodes that detail the American experience in what was then called “The Great War”
