Join us every other Thursday starting on April 21st and concluding on July 28th for a live walking tour of the historic churches of North Main Street. Learn about the interesting histories of these buildings and the congregations that call them home, as well as the impact that the Second Great Awakening of the early 19th Century had on our community. The tour will begin at 1:30 PM at OCHS, and involves about ¾ of a mile worth of walking. Donations appreciated.
Local Author, Richard Hermann, will talk about his most recent book, "Eminent Riparians: Biographical Sketches of Finger Lakes Luminaries and Leading Lights."
This book chronicles the Finger Lakes Region and inspires a great sense of pride. From Red Jacket to Harriet Tubman, and even Carl Sagan, this book covers a wide array of prominent figures in American History and ties them back to the Finger Lakes Region.
Signed copies of the book will be available during the talk.
